GoodWordMinistries, Inc is the 401(c)3 (tax exempt) ministry of Dr. Don Touchton. GWM was begun to minister to those who have a hunger for a word from God. In these times of political correctness, fearful preachers and sterile preaching, the clear, faithful and understandable presentation of God’s word is in short supply and never has it been more needed.

We do not claim to be the main, or only source of plain, understandable, bold preaching and teaching, but we certainly strive to be one of those who provide it. Our name, derived from our mission verse Proverbs 12:25, reveals both our philosophy and our strategy.

Our Philosophy:                                                             A heavy heart is due, in large part, if not entirely to an absence of, or ignorance of God's word in a person’s life. When it comes to the Word of God, ignorance is definitely not bliss; rather, it is the source of bondage, frustration, fear and destructive behavior. Such is the condition of our world today.

Our Strategy:                                                              We will bring a good word by exploiting every opportunity presented to us, striving to be true to God’s word in content and bold in presentation, fearing neither the prospect of bringing a message that confronts squarely the sins of our society, nor showing the solitary hope all men have in Christ.

Our Mission:                                                                Jesus said, ". . .If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." (John 8:31,32) God’s Word is truth. Truth makes one free. God’s Word is the "good word" of Proverbs 12:25 (our mission verse). But the word should be proclaimed as it is written and as Jesus taught it, bold, frank, unadulterated, uncompromising and fearless. Any other method, in our opinion, only clouds the message, distorts the truth and softens the impact the Word is supposed to have. "For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart." (Heb 4:12)

Our mission therefore, is to teach God's word to the audience He provides, using various media, with as much clarity as we are capable of, while remaining true to the intended message of the Bible so that God's message will not be mistaken for our opinion.

In the future, we will have a radio program, community Discipleship Training Courses and tapes (CD's) and books available for purchase as well as the continuing "A Good Word For Today" column published weekly in newspaper, on this web site and by email to subscribers.

In addition, we will endeavor to follow our Lords commission to declare the Gospel unto the uttermost parts of the earth. As people seek our assistance around the world we will seek to provide educational assistance and humanitarian help as God provides the resources.

We shall also continue to develop this website to provide easy access to these resources. The length of time it takes to realize these goals will be determined by the amount of financial support the Lord provides by way of donations to this ministry.
